Tampa, FL – October 28, 2026 – Construction Resources (CR), the Southeast’s leading multi-category design destination, is proud to announce plans for its newest CR Design Center | Tampa, in Ybor City. Expected to open in 2027 and situated alongside the transformative 50-acre Gasworx development at the historic Citrus Factory Building (1728 East 2nd Avenue), the new design center represents a significant investment in the company’s expansion, following the recent launch of its Flagship CR Design Center | Westside Paper in Atlanta (Spring 2025), and the upcoming opening of the CR Design Center | Charleston (Fall 2026), followed by CR Design Center | Dallas (Summer 2027).

“Tampa remains one of Florida’s most active and compelling markets,” says CEO Mitch Hires. “Our forthcoming Ybor City Design Center and new Tampa warehouse bring together our growing capabilities in stone fabrication, luxury appliances, plumbing, and other design-focused categories to better serve builders and designers shaping this vibrant region.”

“The Citrus Factory Building has long played a role in Ybor City’s history and Tampa’s growth,” says Darryl Shaw, CEO of Casa Ybor. “Construction Resources’ investment honors Ybor’s legacy while giving this historic building new purpose and creating new reasons for people to experience the neighborhood.”

CR’s new home in Ybor City reflects the company’s continued growth across Florida, building on its recent acquisition of the Tampa-based Ramos Marble & Granite, which enhances CR’s local natural stone and quartz fabrication and installation capabilities. The company has also opened a new warehouse off U.S. Route 301 (1141 US-301) to support existing product lines, the new flagship location, and the broader region. Together, these strategic investments establish a strong regional foundation that reinforces CR’s long-term commitment to Florida’s design community.

Additional CR Design Center | Tampa details will be announced as they become available.
