Natural Stone
Unmatched Aesthetic Combined with Intrinsic Strength
Natural stone is a beautiful product of the earth and encompasses many types of stone including granite, limestone, marble, onyx, quartzite, soapstone, travertine and others. Natural stone countertops are created through natural evolution of minerals over thousands of years. Stone comes from all around the globe, including Brazil, Italy, Spain, India and other countries. The materials are then quarried from the earth to create slabs, each piece having its own unique visual appearance – the key characteristic that makes natural stone so desirable.
Along with distinct character and one-of-a-kind beauty, natural stone offers varying levels of inherent durability and can be used in many applications from kitchen countertops to flooring and wall cladding. Construction Resources offers hundreds of varieties of natural stone and is always importing new stunning materials for your kitchen or bath project.

Our Colors
MARBLE
Marble is one of the most sought after and versatile natural stones available. Well known for its timeless style and air of luxury, marble displays gorgeous dramatic veining that is unmatched by any other material. While a classic choice, marble has a softness to it that makes it susceptible to damage, like etching and staining. Marble develops a natural patina over time that some see as beautiful and others consider a con of the material. Finishes for natural stone vary by availability.
QUARTZITE
Through a process of high heat and pressure, sandstone is transformed into an extremely hard natural stone called quartzite. Generally found in neutral white, grey and brown tones, quartzite has the appearance of marble but is closer to granite in terms of durability against scratching and etching. Finishes for natural stone vary by availability.
GRANITE
Granite is a premium natural stone that is known for its unique beauty. Mined from the Earth in large blocks and cut into slabs, the material is polished and popularly used for kitchen and bath countertops. Granite is very durable against scratching and etching, as well as heat.
LIMESTONE
Formed at the bottom of the sea, limestone has a truly organic appearance in warm gray, tan and beige hues. While it is a visually attractive option, limestone requires more maintenance than some other surfacing options. It nicks, cuts, and scratches easily and some stains are too tough to be washed away.
SOAPSTONE
Soapstone has a soft color that starts out as light gray but oxidizes over time to appear as a dark charcoal/green shade. The occasional coat of mineral oil aids in this oxidation process and helps the stone achieve its rich color. Soapstone is a low maintenance choice for many applications, from countertops to replaces. It is resistant to stains and heat but can be prone to scratches and dings with use.
TRAVERTINE
Travertine features a naturally honed finish but can be polished. It is a great option for bathroom countertops, wall cladding and flooring. Available in earthy hues, this natural stone is sturdy and aesthetically pleasing but can be susceptible to staining.
ONYX
Often found in caves and formed by cold dripping water, Onyx is a translucent stone with a glossy finish, available in pastel shades of yellow, green, orange, white and brown. The pattern of onyx stone is striking and can be backlit for an even more unique and dramatic appearance.
