CR further expands its family of businesses and services in Atlanta.

ATLANTA, GA (February 16, 2021) – Construction Resources (CR), LLC, an Atlanta-based design and construction supply company, opens its doors to a newly remodeled, luxury stone remnant and overstock kitchen and bath storefront in Decatur, GA. The new CR Overstock Gallery offers a unique product selection, including luxury natural stones, marbles and quartzites as well as quartz countertop remnants, packaged light fixtures, and scratch-and-dent appliances, for both commercial and residential spaces.

CR Overstock Gallery was designed with the core of CR’s vision in mind – to provide customers with an unparalleled shopping experience that features array of materials in one location. This new business venture simultaneously aligns with CR’s ambition for physical expansion and towards revolutionizing the home product selection process.

“The goal in opening this new facility is to provide an unmatched experience for designers, architects and retail customers alike when they come in to select luxury stone pieces for their smaller design projects,” said Mitch Hires, CEO of CR. “Now, visitors have the opportunity to add luxury into every space, because they can opt for remnant materials in lieu of purchasing full slabs, as is typically required of most stone suppliers. The location also offers products like lighting and appliances in the same space, with the hope of simplifying project planning,” he added.

While this new location boasts a wide selection of high-end natural stone, marble and quartzite remnants (partial slabs), CR’s Overstock Gallery will also offer overstock quartz slabs from leading manufacturers such as Cambria, Silestone, Caesarstone and more.

“This gallery is unlike any other remnant material selection facility in the Atlanta area,” stated Brett Gowans, Director of Operations for the Atlanta Surfaces Division. “It provides a solution for individuals with a diverse set of design needs. The clean, spacious environment is a stark contrast from dark and dusty wholesale warehouses buyers may be used to visiting. CR Overstock Gallery is located at 185 Laredo Drive, Decatur, GA, 30030 and will be open to the public on Tuesday, February 16, 2021. The company will service clients within Greater Atlanta and surrounding cities, such as Marietta, Sandy Springs and Newnan, GA. As with all of CR’s locations, the CR Overstock Gallery is following all local and federal guidelines for health and safety in regard to the Coronavirus pandemic in order to provide a safe shopping and working environment. Sewell Appliance Hosts Chef David Rose For Good Morning America’s 12 Days of Christmas Cookies Special

Earlier this month, Sewell Appliance happily hosted Chef David Rose in its Monogram showroom to promote his magnificent Cinnamon Eggnog Heath Crunch Cookies for Good Morning America’s 12 Days of Christmas Cookies special.

Chef David Rose was born and raised in New Jersey, surrounded by chef parents who sparked his interest for exquisite and diverse cuisine. After graduating from Le Cordon Bleu Culinary College, Chef Rose moved to Atlanta and has developed a more southern cooking style as he took inspiration from his surroundings. Since then, he has appeared on the Food Network, befitted Omaha Steaks Executive Chef/ Spokesperson and serves as a national brand ambassador for Nissan USA and Big Green Egg.

Known for his signature bold flavors and the occasional flair from his family’s Jamaican recipes, Good Morning America invited Chef Rose onto their special Christmas minisode, 12 Days of Christmas Cookies, for Day 8: “Eight Maids-A-Milking.”

The “Eight Maids-A-Milking” episode with David Rose was filmed in the Monogram display at the Sewell Appliance showroom located just north of Atlanta in Sandy Springs, GA. Using the best countertops in Atlanta, alongside GE Monogram’s high-quality kitchen appliances, Chef Rose worked up a tasty cinnamon eggnog Heath crunch cookie, which is the perfect sweet treat to add to any holiday table spread!

Cookie ingredients:

2 ¼ cups all-purpose four

1 t baking powder
1 1/2 t ground cinnamon
1/4 t kosher salt
1 1/4cups granulated white sugar
6 oz salted butter, at room temperature
1/2 cup eggnog
1 t molasses
3 oz coarsely chopped Heath candy bar
2 large egg yolks
**Garnish/optional colorful sprinkles

 

Eggnog glaze ingredients:

2 cups confectioners’ sugar
1/2 t cinnamon
6 T eggnog
1 T water

 

Cookie directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a small bowl, sift and whisk all dry ingredients together.
  3. In a large separate e bowl, use an electric mixer to combine and cream the sugar, molasses and butter together.
  4. Slowly add the eggnog and egg yolks to the butter/sugar mixture, then slowly add the dry ingredients; beat at low speed just until blended and smooth.
  5. Fold chopped Heath candy into cookie batter with a spatula. Drop about a tablespoon each per cookie, onto an ungreased baking sheet; about 1 inch apart.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes or until cookie bottoms turn light brown. Transfer to wire racks to cool.
  7. Once cooled *optional* glaze with eggnog glaze, and garnish with colorful sprinkles.

 

Eggnog glaze directions:

  1. Sift confectioners’ sugar and cinnamon together.
  2. Gradually whisk in eggnog and water until smooth glaze consistency.
  3. Use to glaze top of cookies; *optional* then garnish with colored sprinkles.

Ingredients

2 large garlic cloves peeled

1 small bunch of fresh mint

1 small red Thai chili (2 if you are feeling brave)

Zest and juice of one lemon

2 teaspoon coarse sea salt, divided

1 teaspoon ground black pepper

2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

6 lamb chops, about 3/4″ to 1″ thick

2 bunches of rosemary for V-grate

6 cloves of garlic, peeled for V-grate

Preparation

Add the garlic, mint, Thai chili, lemon zest, lemon juice and salt into a food processor. Pulse until combined, then pour in olive oil and pulse until a thick paste forms. Set aside.

Drizzle both sides of the lamb chops with olive oil, and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Line the V-grate section of your Alfresco grill with rosemary and garlic cloves, and turn to high heat until the herbs begin to smoke. Now add the chops on top of the smoking herbs and sear for about 3 minutes. Flip the chops over and cook for another 2 minutes for medium-rare and 3 1/2 minutes for medium.

Remove the chops from the grill and allow to rest for 5 minutes. Serve on a platter or board with the mint Chimichurri spooned over the top.
